Registration of beneficiaries has been started from 1st April with the aim of providing free health insurance to every family of Rajasthan.While giving the information, Medical and Health Minister Dr. Raghu Sharma has informed that the beneficiaries will be benefited from this scheme by implementing the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme (Mukhya Mantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana) from May 1.

Under the Mukhya Mantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana, each family of the state will be given free treatment up to ₹5 lakh per year in government and allied private hospitals.

In this health insurance cover, 1576 packages and procedures for treatment of various diseases have been included. Medical expenses related to the medical package of 5 days before the hospitalization of the patient, examination, medicines and the related package of 15 days after discharge will also be included in the free treatment.

How can I join the Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana?

To avail the benefits of the Mukhya Mantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana, the beneficiaries can join the scheme by registering themselves online or on e-Mitra through the platform based on the public base. The state government will bear the registration fee.

Special registration camps will be organized from April 1 to April 10 at the gram panchayat level in rural areas and ward level in urban areas. For the successful implementation of these registration camps, teams have been formed at the district level under the direction of the district collector and the concerned subdivision officer at the block level.

Even after this, the registration work will continue till May 31. Beneficiaries can get themselves registered online or through eMitra. There will be no need to register the eligible families of the National Food Security Act and Socio-Economic Census already benefiting under the Health Insurance Scheme.

Jan Aadhar card required for registration

To register under the Mukhya Mantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana, it is mandatory for the common man to bring his Aadhaar card number along with Janadhar card or Janadhar card number.The eligible families can be obtained by downloading the ‘policy document’ in the attached format after registration on the software of the scheme.

In this, details related to the basis of the family and policy of the beneficiary family will be recorded. Families whose Janadhar / Bhamashah registration has not been done, they will be required to register for Janadhar Card first and registration will be done under the scheme only after Janadhar ID is generated. In districts where model code of conduct is in place, registration camps will not be held till further orders.

If the registration of Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme is not done by May 31, it will not be possible to register for the next 3 months.

Government employees were kept out

Government employees are excluded from this Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme. For them, the state government implemented the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS) to give the benefit of cashless insurance (Cashless Health Benefit Scheme) on the lines of the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS).

Financially competent families will get insurance of ₹5 lakhs at ₹850 per year upon registration. The state government will bear half the cost of these families’ premiums. In this scheme, get the registration done as soon as possible, so that the huge expense of treatment during difficult times does not prove to be a problem.

The ‘Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme’ will be applicable from May 1.
